We are proud to announce that we have received the Great Place to Work award for Giving Back. Over 90% of our employees are satisfied with the way in which we contribute to the community.
More than $13,000 was donated to Centraide in the past year. These donations were collected through various fundraising activities with our employees. Among other things, we organized a gift draw among donors and donated an additional amount for each employee contribution. A great way to raise money that benefits everyone! We are proud to be able to contribute to the mission of Centraide: to fight against poverty and social exclusion. This is a cause that is particularly close to our hearts and deserves to be promoted.
How do our employees contribute to the community?
In addition to the partnership with Centraide, all Petal employees have one paid day off per year to volunteer for the cause of their choice. The possibilities are numerous: Christmas baskets, fundraising, special events and more!
It's an opportunity to give back while encouraging employees to get involved in a cause: "It was important for us to include employer-paid volunteering in our list of benefits. If we can make a small difference for an organization, we go for it," says Corina Chartrand, Vice President of Human Resources at Petal.
