For the fourth year in a row, our health technology experts will attend the 2020 session of the Quebec Health IT Symposium. In order to comply with health measures related to COVID-19, the conference will be presented exclusively online on November 19th.
COVID-19 at the Heart of the 2020 Session
This year, a strong and unequivocal theme will be the cornerstone of the Quebec Health IT program: The COVID-19 Effect: A Giant Leap for the Implementation of IT in Quebec.
Shaken by the global health crisis, the Quebec healthcare network has had to, and still has to, face multiple obstacles. The Symposium will address head-on the pitfalls and challenges that have pushed IT to the front lines of this crisis.
It is a full program and will begin with a workshop presented by Mr. Luc Bouchard, Associate Deputy Minister, Ministry of Health and Social Services, Information Technology Branch, Quebec Government, followed by a conference given by Mr. Philippe Lottin, Assistant Director General for the Unification of Projects under the Project Office for the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Quebec Government. The day will end with a speech by the Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services, Mr. Lionel Carmant.
PetalMD Will Provide a Platform for Managers and Health Professionals
During this 4th session, the CEO of PetalMD, Mr. Patrice Gilbert, will invite managers and healthcare professionals to express themselves on their innovative use of technologies to better manage their medical workforce during the pandemic.
During the workshop entitled: Comment remédier aux lacunes médico-administratives mises en lumière par la pandémie ?, Mr. Gilbert will build on shared initiatives to identify the medico-administrative gaps highlighted by this health crisis. He will also highlight the giant strides our present situation has made possible in terms of the adoption of healthcare technologies.
According to Mr. Gilbert, the innovative technologies deployed during the pandemic are only a first step towards the health institutions of tomorrow. We will increasingly rely on artificial intelligence to optimize the management of our medical supply and improve access to health care for future crises.
Our team of experts will be live at the PetalMD virtual booth in the exhibitor area to answer any questions. We will ensure a virtual presence throughout the event, so don’t hesitate to contact us.
