The long winter months are behind us and spring is here. With the new season, comes new industry events and conferences. The PetalMD team will be going to a few of these. If you’re in the area, come stop by our booth!
This is the annual convention of the QMA, Quebec’s association for practicing physicians. This year’s theme is: Clinical governance - time to decide. The topics will cover how physicians can cope with the effects of the adoption of the new provincial Bills 10 and 20. The public and the government’s needs and expectations of access to care are constantly evolving. With the changing structural and functional organization of resources and services, physicians have a hard time keeping up.
This year’s theme coincides perfectly with the launch of PetalMD’s online patient booking solution. Allowing patients to book their appointments online at their convenience improves access to care for the public. This also helps clinics be more productive and efficient, as automating the booking workflow reduces incoming calls and call wait-times and eliminates overbooking. In addition, higher attendance rates and increased patient satisfaction is great for clinics, the government, and patients.
Program and registration can be found on the AMQ website here. PetalMD is a proud conference partner, along with the Canadian Medical Association, Telus Health, TD and MediSolutions.
Pri-Med is one of Ontario’s biggest primary care conference with over 3,000 delegates, including physicians, pharmacists and nurses. This year they’ve partnered with the University of Toronto, Ryerson University and Daphne Cockwell school of nursing to offer 3 full days of CME with 5 keynotes and 20 sessions.
PetalMD will be offering a Dinner Symposium on Tuesday, May 5th at 6pm, which sold out very quickly. We’ll be presenting our online appointment booking solution and how Ontario clinics can benefit from a fully integrated booking system. For clinics thinking about going digital, check out our recent whitepaper: How to Select an Online Patient Booking System.
This is the annual gathering of Canada’s emergency physicians, and they’re coming to our hometown: Quebec City! With the theme of Joie de Vivre, it’s hard to miss this conference! The theme will focus on physician wellness which will be showcased throughout the conference.
This is the place to be for emergency physicians wanting to stay up to date with cutting-edge emergency medicine or innovative educational techniques and scientific updates.
Emergency departments are one of our most popular specialties. If you’re an emergency department planner, you can appreciate the complexity of collecting your colleagues availabilities and trying to balance the shifts. This is why we’ve seen the highest demand for our advanced scheduling solution by emergency departments.
In accordance with the high demand, we’ve recently completed an emergency group case study: How a Scheduling Solution Saves Time and Improves Physician Satisfaction. For this case study, we’ve interviewed staff at 3 hospitals in Eastern Ontario and measured considerable time savings. For example, an emergency group planner at a large regional hospital saved 100 hours a year with PetalMD.
The convention will be held at the Quebec City Convention center, downtown.
If you want to learn the latest news and experience new developments and trends in health IT in Canada - the annual eHealth conference is the place to be. It is Canada’s only national e-health conference and tradeshow.
The 4-day conference will cover learning sessions, opportunities to network with organizations and people that value quality health information and effective integrated system solutions. With over 1,500 attendees, the conference attracts major health IT vendors, hospital CIOs and management and provincial eHealth representatives.
This will be the first time PetalMD will be showcasing at this conference, and in addition to a booth, we’ll be hosting a vendor showcase with one of our customers. The CMIO of Grand River Hospital will be presenting how the hospital has standardized the schedule information in real-time across 40 departments and all staff with PetalMD, and its impact on hospital operations efficiency and quality of patient care.
If you can’t wait for the conference and are interested in improving hospital-wide communication, read our whitepaper titled: 5 Ways to Improve Hospital Communication and Increase Efficiency.
